On the Lookout

This morning I was laying in my usual spot in Mommy's bedroom. She cleared off a space on the cabinet so that I could sit there and look out the window. The air conditioner is there so sometimes birds will come and land on top and I get to see them!

Here's how I spy on them:
I sit quiet and wait until I hear their footsteps on the air conditioner...
Then I sit up on my hind legs and use my front paws to push the curtain back a little...
I stick my head through and watch them...
Sometimes I like to spook them out so I will hit the window with my paw and that usually makes them jump and yell at me (hee-hee)...

Well, this morning, I had a bird spying on me! I heard the footsteps and began to peek out when I was met with a peeping tom! The bird was looking right in the window at me! Well, I did what any cat would do and began to paw at the window. That spooked him out and he flew away but not for long! He came right back and did it again! Stupid bird! LOL!

The Starling likes to travel in a crowd like gangs. They go around causing mischief, just like the one that was peeking in on me. I think the thing that makes the starling nice is that it takes care of the nasty locusts that come out in the summer. Maybe he will become an asset to the yard? Time will tell. I have a feeling this isn't the last I've seen of Mr. Starling either.
