The Portulaca Box

Mommy got tired of watching Chucky enjoy a nice meal of portulaca so she planted them out on the deck in a box. Usually they stay pretty close to the ground but look at how tall and fancy they are growing! I couldn't believe my little poodie eyes! I 'specially like that they come back over and over again all through the summer. And, they come up all different colors! So far we've seen, fushia, red, yellow, orange, white, pink with fushia stripes and yellow with red stripes. Portulaca are lotsa fun and wicked easy to grow! You should shmaybe ask your beans if you could grow some. They don't require a lot of work and enjoy all different types of soil. And, if you forget to water them a day or two, they're ok with that :)
