On the lookout

Normally, I'd sit here and watch all the birdies and other wildlife but today, I've got a special assignment!

Auntie Deb is coming soon and I want to be sure I see her when she comes! So, I'm gonna stay right here in the perch, looking out the front window until I see her! Know what? I can still watch all the birdies and fluffies and Chuckie at the same time but I have to be sure not to forget my assignment either!

Speaking of birdies, guess who's back?! The goldfinches!! This is the second year that they've visited our house! Oh I sure hope they stay around for a while :) Last year, they eated all of Mommy's zinneas. So, we both suspect that's why they've returned a'cause the zinneas are starting to bloom. But that's ok. At least they won't eat the whole garden like the big bad deer did a few months back...
