My eye is on the sparrow

There's a hymn called, "His Eye is on the Sparrow". I wonder if they meant me when they wrote that song? Purrobably not but here's to wishful thinking! This picture was taken a day or two before we got s'more snow so that's why the ground is green.
This little house sparrow came by to have a nice afternoon snack. We get sparrows all summer long and they stay here during the winter a'cause they know where the good food is and they live nearby too! This sparrow doesn't seem to mind that I am watching her but I bet she did if the window was open! Oh...if only I had thumbs!!
House Sparrows are nice little birdies that sing cute songs and chitter at each other lots. For us, they're pretty common and I'm so used to seeing them (they still make me chitter though!)House sparrows are 'bout the same size as Tangie only not as handsome. Sheesh! Did I just give Tangie a compliment?!?! Woah, I'm gettin' to be a softie in my old age!
