Open windows...good smells

I just simply love the warmer weather! It means that the windows can finally be opened and the good fresh air can come into the house! In the Springtime, I can barely pull myself away from my perch a'cause the birdie feeder is a hoppin' spot! Already this week I've seen Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal, a bazillion sparrows, Mr. and Mrs. Chickadee and that nasty Mr. Squirrel. He just thinks he owns the joint. Pshaw!! So...here I am takin' in the good fresh air. Know what? Not only is the air fresh but I can smell those birdies that are eating the seed we put out for them!

My favorite birdie aside from the shy titmouse is the chickadee. He comes with his lady and they dine together. They will steal a sunflower seed and sit in the branch of the rhododendron bush, hold the seed between their toes and peck at it with their little beak. Very clever birdies if I do say so myself! Well, aside from Tangerine...gaaa!!! Did I just give Tangie a compliment?!? I'm a softie. Can't help it...we both had our toes clipped the other day and I feel for the little guy. He moved while Mommy was clipping and he got his nail clipped a hair too short. She felt real bad and he cried a little but she kissed his head and fluffed his hair. He'll be aiight.
