Chipper Chippy
I really like this little chipmunk. While I was enjoying my breakfast, I kept hearing this funny little sound. It was real high like a birdie but it wasn't a birdie I knew. That's when I decided to go to the window and give a look outside and saw the little chipmunk! It was hanging out by Momma's mums and was chippin' at the birdies. They were eating their seed that Momma put out there and I guess that the little chipmunk wanted some too!The little chipmunks that live around the house like to go hidey in little holes. Sometimes they make their own right in the middle of the ground so if you watch them, they run real fast and disappear into the ground like magic! Most of the time, they go hidey in the gutter things that the rain waters come out of. I dunno what happens when it rains though, shmaybe that's when they go down into the holes in the ground? Or, it could make a very fun slip and slide ride! LOL!!

Grrrr. I don't like chipmunks. They chatter at me and squak at me and just make me all nervous. I chase them, but they go down their little hidey holes and I can't find them!
Sometimes I wish I had some greyhound in me, then maybe I could catch me one of them chatterers.

I tried waiting by the hole in our yard for a long time one day, but our chippy never came out. I think he had a back door. -Scooby
we have a bajillion chip holes in our yard. i worry about them when it rains. doesn't all that water run into their chip houses?
