Fuzzy Wuzzy was a what?

Mommy cleaned up a garden bed in the backyard so I had to supervise the work. She did very well. My attention was not on all the great smells coming from the garden, nor the buggies that were uprooted and flew in front of me…my attention was on the fuzzy buggie I found. Well, if you can call him a buggie. As KC says, “if it acts like a bug, and it tastes like a bug, then it is a bug!” Guess he's just a really fuzzy buggie :)

The woolly bear caterpillar has a little bit of red hair and the rest of him is brownish black. He has so many toes!!! I only have four feet but he's got like a gazillion! I wonder what it would be like to have that many feet...I bet I could run faster than I do now! Mommy said that caterpillars eat lots of food and then they build a cocoon (chrysalis) around themselves and stay inside of it. They build their own homes! Pretty cool :) I think they should have their own reality show like Extreme Makeover: Caterpillar Edition. It could show them before they build their home and then afterwards when they come out like a butterfly or moth! What a neat buggie!

I liked playing with the caterpillar. I went to sniff him and he tickled my nose. I sneezed and ran away from him at first but then I realized, he wasn't going to hurt me. I tapped him a few times and then he rolled up into a ball. That's when the real fun began...heh-heh...

I bat him all around the deck until he fell off the side. Mommy checked to see if he was ok and she said that he was crawling to safety and that I had to find something else to play with. I didn't. So I just watched her clean out the rest of the garden. But the caterpillar was fun while he was around.
