Yummy Yum Yum!!

I live in what Mommy and Gramma call the suburbs of Mew Jersey. We get lotsa different kinds of birdies, raccoons, opossum, and the occasional deer... What we don't see is Wild Turkey! That is of course, until today! Gramma was sitting at the kitchen table and said, "What is that?!?!" Mommy and I looked out the window and what to our wondering eyes should appear but a bunch of leaves blowin' and a flock of wild turkey!! Thought I was gonna say Santa and his reindeer huh? LOL!

Gobble Gobble!

I can honestly say that this was certainly and unusual visit! There were so many of them and they were just kinda strollin' along. They were for sure, bigger than me why, one of those turkeys alone could have fed Mommy, Gramma and Me for a week!!!

I absolutely LOVE turkey! It was really somethin' else to see them walking through the front yard! When I had to spend time in "jail", I got lots of fresh shaved turkey from the ladies there. They would give it to me as a treat...and what a treat it was (just like seein' them this morning was too!)

The turkey was almost the national birdie...but instead, the eagle got that honor. It's a good thing because I don't think I'd enjoy eating the national bird...and what would we have at Thanksgiving if turkey was the national birdie? Surely we wouldn't be eating the national birdie. Kinda strange to think about Thanksgiving without the turkey huh? Speaking of Thanksgiving, isn't it a funny coinkydink that wild turkey should appear on our front lawn just before Thanksgiving?
