What's Your Name Again??
I like this little birdie! Mommy says she hasn't seen one in a few years! The ahem...titmouse likes to eat buggies much like me! What's nice about this birdie is that they mate for life like husband and wife. Once I found that out, I made it a point to see if the lady titmouse was around. Sure enough, she was sitting in the tree waiting for her hubby to finish eating! I chittered hello to her but I don't think she cared for me. All she said was "peter, peter, peter" at me. Doesn't she know my name is Timothy? Sheesh!
A dominant bird at feeders, the Tufted Titmouse often chases away birds that are the same size or smaller. Come to think of it, I did see Mr. T. sitting on the feeder alone. Maybe he chased away all the pretty sparrows? Heh heh, I'd like to see him take on Mr. Squirrel...he thinks that it's a squirrel feeder and dines at the birdfeeder morning, noon and night. The blue jay came and did his big loud yell and the titmice flew away.
